Creating a cycle
Two fields: a name between three and 120 characters, and a slug in lowercase with hyphens, between three and 60. The cycle starts in Draft.

Durations are planned, not enforced. A session that runs over is not cut off; the number sets expectations and drives the timer display.
The two rubrics
One for group discussions, one for interviews. Each takes up to twelve criteria, and each criterion has:
- a key: lowercase, starting with a letter, used internally;
- a label: what evaluators see, up to sixty characters;
- a maximum: the top of its scale, 1 to 100;
- a weight: 0 to 10, how much it counts relative to the others.
Criteria with different maxima are still comparable, because each is normalised before weighting. See scoring and the rubric.
Tip
Fewer criteria score better. Twelve is the ceiling, not a target. Five or six well-chosen ones produce more consistent scoring across evaluators than a long list that everyone interprets differently.
Selection email settings
A WhatsApp group URL, included in the email so selected candidates land somewhere, and a note of up to a thousand characters added to the message.
Write the note before you need it. Sending selection emails is a moment when nobody wants to be composing copy.
Society roles
Fixed. Recruitment can only ever grant the plain member role. This is not configurable, by design: recruitment cannot hand out console access. See finalisation and the society.
Get it right before opening
Everything above can be changed later, but a rubric change mid-cycle means candidates evaluated against different criteria. Configure in Draft, review, then open.
